This Modules explores the Historical Development of Human Rights on an international level, This module analyses various national solution such as the Magna Charta, Declaration of Independence etc. It also looks into the International solutions (peace treaties up until 1899) As well as several Universal Solutions such as the The Hague Peace Conferences, League of Nations, United Nations, UDHR, ICCPR, ICESCR etc.

The reading list also covers Regional solutions (ECHR etc.) including the Definition of Human Rights, the Nature, legitimacy and content of Human rights and what the limitations are, to the rights.
